Founded in 1999 by a collective of eight visionary wineries, Texas Hill Country Wineries has flourished into an esteemed association with a membership that has grown exponentially.Now surpassing 60 winery members, we continue to showcase the independent origins of our craft and champion our trailblazing members. Our mission is clear: to shine a spotlight on the remarkable Texas Hill Country AVA and the extraordinary wines it yields.
Texas Hill Country Wineries (THCW) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting both our member wineries and the exceptional Texas Hill Country wine region. From Austin to Fredericksburg, Lampasas to New Braunfels, we bring together a thriving community of winemakers and wine enthusiasts.Through the creation of spectacular events and unforgettable experiences, our goal is to raise awareness, drive visitors to member wineries, provide industry education and support the next generation with scholarships. With over 60 unique and visually stunning wineries scattered throughout the Hill Country, there’s someplace new to explore around every bend and an exquisite glass of wine waiting for you through each door.

Barrels + Bites is an immersive weekend of Texas wine and culinary craft in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, taking place June 12–14. This self-guided experience gives you exclusive access to participating wineries, where you can choose between behind-the-scenes barrel tastings or thoughtfully curated food and wine pairings at each stop. Meet the makers, taste wines at their source, and enjoy a flavorful getaway filled with bold Texas wines, delicious bites, and unforgettable moments.

The Texas Hill Country attracts visitors all year round.
